Crooked Creek Golf Links is an 18-hole public golf course located in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
The course first opened for play in 1994. The course was designed by Ralph Cours.
The course plays to a par-70 and maximum distance of 5,454 yards.
Water cmes into play on 5 holes and the majority of fairways are lined by trees on one or both sides. Given the trees and water, and with most of the par 4 and 5''s doglegs left or right, to score well you need to control your tee shots.
Blue tees: par-70, 5,454 yards, 64.6 / 111
White tees: par-70, 5,056 yards, 64.6 / 111
Red tees: par-70, 4,124 yards, 61.8 / 102
#3 is under 400 yards, but wraps around a large water hazard, with a relatively narrow landing zone.
#4, 12, and 13 are par-5s measuring 470, 570, and 430 yards respectively, from the white tees. They require precise shotmaking, and imagination off the tee for big hitters. If it is your first time, definitely drive forward on the #12 prior to teeing off, as there is a significant dropoff with heavy undergrowth at 260 yards. Similar advice on the 13th, as a drive will likely end in a hazard.
#14, a 174 yard par 3 is a beauty with severe eleveation changes, it looks farther than it plays.
